BlinkTranslate — Chrome Extension
Last updated: February 14, 2026
BlinkTranslate is a Chrome Extension that translates web pages and selected text. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. Page content (local only)
When you translate a page or selected text, the extension reads content from the current web page to perform the translation. This data is sent to the translation service to generate the translated text but is not stored by us.
2. Settings and preferences
Your extension settings (language preferences, font size, keyboard shortcuts, auto-translate settings) are stored locally and synced through your Chrome account. We do not have access to these settings.
All settings are stored locally in your browser and synced via your Chrome account. We do not operate any server-side storage for user data.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Page content is sent to the translation service solely for the purpose of generating translations and is not stored.
We do not retain any user data. All settings are stored locally in your browser.
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. If you have any questions, contact us at: [email protected]
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
